Being a member of TOFS is an honor and a burden, a pleasure and a curse. Tellers Of Forgotten Souls is just as much about watching as it is telling. The pleasure is that we get access to incredible technology—technology to see the past from any point. The curse is to endlessly watch stories that end in destruction.

It was time to bring it home; time to leave them all speechless. Shara took a moment to stare at her notes atop the podium while cameras flashed multiple times a second. She didn’t need to read the notes but wanted to add that extra level of suspense for the press.

It was three minutes until midnight when the world ended. That’s three minutes earlier than it was supposed to end, too! Not sure what those scientists got wrong in their calculations, but I guess it’s within some statistical range of error. That doesn’t really matter now, though, does it?

Annie held the door open for the others to walk into the room beyond, an ecstatic grin upon her face, yet her demeanor remained poised and controlled. After the dozen big shots were inside, Annie stepped in as well, closed the door to her baby, and turned around to face the investors.
